ABOUT ME

Debbie Kidwell is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual short-term and long-term psychotherapy, and sees clients in Lutherville, Westminster, and Annapolis, Maryland.

With several years of experience as a volunteer in the community as a helper, and as a graduate of Loyola College of Maryland specializing in pastoral counseling, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, stress management, grief and the incorporation of spirituality into counseling.

In addition to being a prominent therapist, Debbie has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of spirituality, grief and loss.

Debbie Kidwell is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

In addition to applying solution-focused techniques, Debbie also provides cognitive/behavioral therapy for anxiety and depressive related problems. Humanistic/Existential psychotherapy is utilized to help clients effectively address "meaning of life" questions associated with the need for a deeper understanding of what it means to be human in a world that can be overwhelming.

Debbie sees clients under the supervision of a prominent therapist with over forty years of experience in the field of mental health.
